Terms of Use

Last updated: 4 October 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Vector Converter browser extension and the website at vectorconv.com (together, the “Services”), provided by Vector Converter (“we,” “us,” and “our”). By installing the extension or using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

What the Services do

Vector Converter turns raster images — PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, WebP, AVIF — into vector files such as SVG, PDF, EPS, and DXF. The conversion runs in your browser, on your own device. We do not receive your images; see the Privacy Policy.

Your images and the files you make

Everything you convert stays yours. You keep all rights to the images you open and to the vector files the conversion produces, and you may use them for any purpose, personal or commercial, without crediting us or asking our permission. We claim no licence over them — we never receive them in the first place.

You are responsible for having the right to use the images you convert. Do not use the Services for material you have no right to use.

Permission to use the Services

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the Services as they are offered, for your own purposes, including in your work. The Services are licensed, not sold, and this permission ends if you breach these Terms.

What you may not do

Our intellectual property

The Services — including the conversion engine, the source code, the interface, the design, the texts, the graphics, the name “Vector Converter,” and the logo — are our property and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you. The fact that the code is delivered to your browser so it can run there gives no permission to copy, adapt, or republish it.

Some third-party components are included under their own licences, as listed in the notices that ship with the Services (THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt). Those licences govern those components.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, and we may update the extension and the website without notice. We do not promise that the Services will be available without interruption or free of errors. The converter is designed to keep working offline once your browser has stored it, but we cannot guarantee that either.

No warranty

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that a conversion will meet your expectations, that the resulting file will be suitable for any particular use — printing, cutting, engraving, or otherwise — or that it will open correctly in any particular program.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, files, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services — including any loss or corruption of a file, or any cost incurred because a converted file did not suit its purpose. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim, which for the free Services is nothing.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Services in breach of these Terms or of any law, including claims about the material you converted.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Services change. We will post the new version on this page and revise the date above. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vector Converter operates, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within that jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings there instead.
